Installment payment arrangements may be available for select customers on a case-by-case basis, subject to Company approval.
Terms, deposit amount, monthly payment schedule, and conditions will be set out in a written agreement before any vehicle is delivered.
The Company reserves the right to repossess or withhold delivery of a vehicle if payment obligations are not met as agreed.

6. Japanese Export Process & Documentation
All vehicle exports from Japan are processed in full compliance with Japanese law. The following steps are completed by Yamaguchi Motors on behalf of the customer:
- Step 1 — Export Deregistration (輸出抹消): The vehicle's Japanese registration is officially cancelled at the Land Transport Bureau (陸運局) prior to export, as required by Japanese law.
- Step 2 — Export Certificate (輸出抹消仮登録証明書): The official Japanese export certificate is obtained. This document is required by Japanese customs and may also be required by the destination country for import.
- Step 3 — Japan Customs Export Declaration (輸出申告): A customs export declaration is filed with Japan Customs (税関) in accordance with the Customs Act (関税法). The vehicle is inspected and cleared for export.
- Step 4 — Freight Forwarder Handover: The vehicle is handed to our freight forwarder and transported to the designated export port.
- Step 5 — Shipping Documents Issued: Once loaded, the following documents are prepared and sent to the buyer:
- Bill of Lading (B/L)
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Export Certificate (輸出抹消仮登録証明書)
- JEVIC Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate (if requested or required)
⚠️ Important: The buyer is solely responsible for import duties, taxes, customs clearance, and compliance with the import regulations of their destination country. Yamaguchi Motors is not responsible for delays, seizure, or rejection of vehicles at the destination port due to import non-compliance.
7. Pre-Shipment Inspection (JEVIC)
Some destination countries require a pre-shipment inspection certificate before a used vehicle can be imported. Common examples include Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, and others.
- JEVIC (Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Center) inspections are available upon request.
- Other approved inspection bodies may also be available depending on your country's requirements.
- Pre-shipment inspection fees are additional and will be included in the quotation if required.
- Customers are responsible for confirming whether their country requires a pre-shipment inspection before placing an order.
8. Shipping Risk, Insurance & Responsibility
- Risk transfer: Risk of loss or damage to the vehicle passes to the buyer from the moment the vehicle is handed to the freight forwarder or loaded onto the vessel at the port of departure, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Marine insurance: Marine cargo insurance is strongly recommended for all international shipments. Insurance can be arranged upon request at additional cost. Yamaguchi Motors is not liable for loss or damage occurring during sea transit unless valid insurance coverage has been arranged and a legitimate claim is filed.
- The Company is not responsible for delays, damage, or loss caused by shipping lines, port authorities, customs authorities, natural disasters, or any other circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control.
